The new site, replacing our current site in Dalby, is estimated to be up and running by the end of 2026.

Following the exciting announcement in October 2024 about AAK’s plans to future-proof and strengthen our Foodservice operations in Europe, in which we are looking to invest in a new site to replace the existing facility in Dalby, Sweden, the team have been busy finalising the plans and proposals.

We are happy to announce, official agreements are now in place, and we are progressing with our plans to build a new purpose-built factory in Staffanstorp, close to our existing site in Dalby. The new site is estimated to be up and running end 2026.

To celebrate this fantastic news in our AAK Foodservice journey, the team from our current site in Dalby, along with Vivienne Carney , Foodservice Director, Tomas Bergendahl , CFO, Soren Ask Nielsen, Managing Director, and Ronaldo Siqueira 🇺🇦 Project Manager (Global Operations), visited the new site. The team gathered on the site where the new building will stand to carry out the ‘first dig’. Despite the cold and windy weather, there was a great atmosphere, with refreshments on hand and hotdogs served by our build partner.

Vivienne commented, “What a great day visiting our new site and discussing the plans with our Foodservice team in Sweden. The team, including cooperation and support from colleagues outside the Foodservice business area, have done a super job getting this project to this stage and now the fun and the real work begins. I look forward to the next phase of this exciting project”

Soren added, “We have a hard-working team that has been posting good results over the past decade. The new site will provide the necessary capacity and capabilities to accelerate this development”

Congratulations to the team and all the hard work so far in bringing this next step in our Foodservice journey to life!
